A Nigerian man, Jerry Smart Ekele, has stirred major online debate after expressing concern that ongoing rumours linking interior designer Sandra Areh to popular cleric Apostle Joshua Selman could negatively affect her chances of marriage.
The discussion gained momentum after Apostle Selman reportedly referred to Areh as “my love” during his birthday celebration on December 9, 2025, triggering widespread speculation about a possible romantic relationship.
Although both Apostle Selman and Sandra Areh have since clarified that their relationship is purely professional and rooted in mutual respect within ministry work, public perception appears unchanged.
In a viral Facebook post, Ekele lamented that many people already see Areh as “taken,” with some even believing she is already married to the clergyman. He urged Apostle Selman to clearly state his marital status, warning that the lingering confusion could unfairly limit Areh’s chances of finding a life partner.
