After months of speculation and online drama, Nigerian music legend Olamide Baddo has finally opened up about his relationship with former YBNL superstar Asake, clearing the air once and for all.

Back in 2024, Asake sparked intense rumours after suddenly unfollowing YBNL-related accounts, deactivating his Instagram, and even missing a major concert organised by Olamide. Fans assumed there was tension, but both artistes stayed silent—until now.

In a fresh interview with BBC Africa, Olamide explained that despite Asake leaving YBNL, their relationship remains unshaken. He described Asake as “family for life” and insisted that business decisions will never interfere with personal bonds. According to him, the same healthy relationship exists with every artiste who has moved on from the label.

Olamide said:
“We are still family. He will always be my brother. Business ends, but life goes on. It’s never personal.”

Speaking on his upcoming OVO Arena Wembley performance set for November 23, 2025, Baddo promised fans nothing but a “proper Lagos-style party in London,” hinting at a high-energy night packed with street vibes and Afrobeats magic.

He also shared how he juggles music and business, crediting his team for handling the corporate side so he can stay fully rooted in creativity. Olamide admitted it hasn’t been easy, but teamwork keeps him focused and grounded.
