England and Chelsea forward Raheem Sterling has once again fallen victim to a shocking home invasion — the second in two years. The football star was at home with his children on Saturday, January 8, when masked robbers broke into his property just an hour before Chelsea’s clash with Wolves at Stamford Bridge.
Thankfully, Sterling and his family escaped unharmed, as the intruders fled without stealing anything after realizing the footballer was inside.
A police investigation is now underway. A spokesperson confirmed the ordeal, describing it as a “violation of privacy and safety” but added that Sterling and his loved ones are safe and grateful for the support.
Fans recall that Sterling’s Surrey mansion was also burgled during the 2022 World Cup, prompting Premier League stars to reportedly hire MMA-trained bodyguards for protection.
Sterling, who has faced challenges with Chelsea after being dropped from the Premier League squad, is said to be focusing on his family’s safety following this traumatic experience.
