Businessman and social commentator, Isaac Fayose, has taken to social media to mock the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, after a heated confrontation between the minister and military officers guarding a disputed parcel of land located at Plot 1946, Gaduwa District, Abuja — allegedly linked to former Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Awwal Zubairu Gambo (retd).
According to reports, Wike stormed the area to question ongoing construction activities after his officials were reportedly chased away by armed soldiers when they tried to halt development, claiming the property owner lacked proper documentation. The Minister, known for his fiery approach, decided to visit the site personally but was met with resistance from the military officers, who insisted they were acting strictly under “orders from above.”
A viral video captured the tense moment, showing one soldier boldly standing his ground against Wike, despite the minister’s insistence. Reacting online, Isaac Fayose mockingly described the incident as “Wike finally meeting his match,” while social media users flooded timelines with mixed reactions — some praising the soldier’s discipline, others backing Wike’s courage to enforce the law.
In a video he recorded and shared online, Fayose mocked Wike. He said the FCT Minister finally met his match.
“Wike don meet person when senior am. I love this soldier! The guy dey talk back. Bully don meet bully”
