Former U.S. President Donald Trump has announced that every American will receive at least $2,000 from the country’s tariff revenues, excluding high-income individuals. The news came via Trump’s post on Truth Social, where he also praised the current state of the U.S., calling it “the most respected country in the world” with almost no inflation and a record stock market.
Trump highlighted that the U.S. is generating trillions of dollars in tariff income, which he plans to use to tackle the nation’s enormous $37 trillion debt. “People that are against tariffs are FOOLS!” Trump wrote. “We are now the richest, most respected country, with record 401k values, and massive investment in U.S. factories and plants. A dividend of at least $2,000 per person (excluding high-income earners) will be paid soon.”

Following the announcement, Trump posted additional messages criticizing the Supreme Court’s stance on tariffs, arguing that the President has the authority to impose tariffs for national security purposes. He expressed frustration that other countries can tax the U.S., but the U.S. cannot implement similar tariffs, calling it “ridiculous” and contrary to the vision of the Founding Fathers.
Trump’s posts underscore his continued focus on tariffs, U.S. investment, and economic nationalism, generating widespread attention online.
