The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has issued a final 14-day grace period for property owners in Asokoro, Maitama, Garki, and Wuse who altered the approved use of their buildings.
According to a statement from his media aide, affected owners must pay a N5 million penalty and complete all required regularisation steps between November 11 and November 25, 2025, Punch reports.
Failure to comply within the two-week window will result in enforcement actions by the FCT Administration. This follows an earlier directive imposing fines on properties converted without proper approval.
Owners who meet the conditions within the grace period will receive updated title documents reflecting the new land use, except for properties whose titles were previously revoked for non-development or non-payment of ground rent.
