Former U.S. President Donald Trump has once again sparked global tension after threatening possible military action against Nigeria, accusing the government of failing to stop what he described as the “k!lling of Christians.” In a recorded address, Trump warned that the United States could cut off all aid and assistance to Nigeria if the situation continues unchecked.
In his fiery message, Trump declared:
“If the Nigerian government continues to allow the k!llings of Christians, the USA will immediately stop all aid and assistance. We are going to do things to Nigeria that Nigeria won’t be happy about. G#ns are blazing to completely wipe out Islamic terr0rists. I’m instructing our Department of W@r to prepare for possible action. If we @ttack, it would be fast and vicious.”
The remarks have sent shockwaves across both nations, coming shortly after Trump’s administration labeled Nigeria a “country of particular concern” over religious freedom issues.
While the White House and Pentagon have reportedly been instructed to draw up military options, Nigerian officials have pushed back strongly, condemning Trump’s comments and insisting that Nigeria’s security crisis affects all citizens, regardless of religion or region.
