Social media commentator Martins Otse, known as Verydarkman (VDM), responded to allegations made by former BBNaija contestant Deeone, whose real name is Aderombi Adedayo Martin.
Deeone claimed during an appearance on Nedu’s HonestBunch podcast that VDM does not identify with the heterosexual community and suggested VDM’s attraction to men was widely known.
In a video posted on February 11, VDM acknowledged that people had forwarded the claims to him, suggesting legal action, but he clarified that he would not pursue any legal measures or involve authorities in the matter.
“I am a street boy, ghetto boy, I can’t take anybody to court,” he remarked.
VDM also addressed Nedu, the host of HonestBunch, revealing that Nedu had been repeatedly inviting him to appear on the podcast since 2024.
VDM shared a screenshot of their WhatsApp conversation, claiming that Nedu promised to give him a car in exchange for his participation in the show.
“Nedu wanted me to come to his podcast I didn’t respond, when we met in Abuja Nedu told me if I come to his podcast he would buy me a car,” VDM said.
VDM claimed that Nedu had repeatedly approached him for podcast appearances, which he declined, suggesting this led to fabricated accusations with Deeone’s help.
He also alleged that many influencers featured on HonestBunch either pay or are paid for their appearances. VDM criticized Nedu’s podcast for prioritizing views and revenue over addressing serious issues affecting Nigerians.
