Football legend Cristiano Ronaldo has once again spoken out about his former club, Manchester United, delivering a powerful and emotional assessment of the team’s current state. Speaking with Piers Morgan on a fresh episode of Piers Morgan Uncensored, the Portuguese star didn’t hold back as he expressed deep disappointment over the decline of the iconic Premier League club.
Ronaldo, who spent two successful spells at United, said he feels “sad” watching how far the team has fallen, describing it as one of the most “important clubs of the century” now struggling to find direction. When asked about current coach Ruben Amorim, he defended the manager, saying:
“He’s doing his best. What are you going to do? Miracles? Miracles are only in Fatima.”
The Al-Nassr forward criticized some players, claiming many lack the mindset and passion that once defined Manchester United. He also noted that the club has no proper structure or long-term vision, unlike in the days of legends like Gary Neville, Roy Keane, and David Beckham.
Ronaldo concluded by saying he still holds the club close to his heart and hopes to see a major transformation soon.
