Nigerian singer Jaywon has raised his voice over the rising wave of insecurity in his home state, Kogi. This comes after tragedy struck on Wednesday, September 10, when three police officers were brutally attacked and maimed by unknown gunmen at a checkpoint in Egbe, a community bordering Kwara State.
The shocking incident triggered outrage as youths in the area staged a massive protest on Thursday, September 11, demanding immediate action to end the incessant attacks that have left residents in fear.
Taking to social media, Jaywon expressed deep frustration, accusing the Inspector General of Police and the Nigeria Police Force of maintaining a disturbing silence despite the gruesome k!lling of officers. According to him, Kogi State is bleeding, yet authorities continue to hide behind camouflage instead of confronting the rising insecurity.
