Rapper and singer Lil Nas X has officially been released from jail after spending the weekend behind bars. The star, born Montero Hill, was arrested in Los Angeles on Thursday, August 21, over accusations of assaulting a police officer.
The 25-year-old artist faced the court on Monday, August 25, where he pleaded not guilty to four felony charges — three counts of battery on a police officer and one count of resisting an executive officer. He was granted release after posting $75,000 bail.

Authorities revealed the rapper had also been hospitalized for a possible overdose, with suspicions he was under the influence at the time of his arrest. The judge has now ordered him to attend four Narcotics Anonymous meetings weekly as part of his release terms. His preliminary hearing is set for September 15, and if convicted, Lil Nas X could face up to five years in state prison.
