Grammy-winning star Lil Nas X is making headlines again, but this time for legal drama. The “Old Town Road” hitmaker pleaded not guilty on Monday, August 25, to four felony charges after allegedly assaulting police officers who approached him while he was found wandering the streets of Los Angeles in just his underwear. A judge set his bail at $75,000 and ordered him to attend Narcotics Anonymous meetings.
Police claim the singer was under the influence of drugs during the bizarre incident, but his lawyer, Christy O’Connor, insisted he wasn’t taking anything illegal, calling the episode a one-off mistake. Lil Nas X now faces three counts of battery on a police officer and one count of resisting arrest.
