Los Angeles was thrown into chaos on Thursday morning after reports confirmed that Grammy-winning rapper Lil Nas X had been arrested and hospitalized in a shocking turn of events. According to USA Today, the 26-year-old star, whose real name is Montero Lamar Hill, was detained by LAPD officers just after 6 a.m. on August 21.
Authorities revealed they received a distress call around 5:50 a.m. about a nude man wandering along Ventura Boulevard. Upon arrival, officers claimed the suspect charged at them, forcing police to restrain him before he was taken into custody. Lil Nas X was later rushed to a hospital amid concerns of a possible drug overdose and was officially booked for battery on a police officer.
