Comfort Emmanson, the Ibom Air passenger who made headlines last week after her heated clash with a flight attendant on a trip from Uyo to Lagos, has finally broken her silence, sharing her side of the story in an emotional video that has stirred fresh reactions online.
According to Comfort, trouble started when the flight attendant, identified as Juliana, asked her to switch off her phone mid-flight. She admitted struggling to comply immediately, which she claims irritated Juliana, who allegedly warned her saying, “You will see.” Comfort further alleged that upon landing, Juliana deliberately stopped her from disembarking with other passengers, and things escalated from there.
She recounted how Juliana, upon realizing she was recording, allegedly ripped off her wig, yanked her gold chain, and insulted her, calling her a prostitute. In the scuffle, Comfort’s phone screen broke, and in pain and anger, she admitted hitting the air hostess multiple times. Matters worsened when airport security intervened, dragging her out of the plane, which she said led to her top being torn while officials allegedly filmed her and attempted to touch her body.
‘’God knows I can never go and poke an elderly woman, Somebody that is old enough to be my mum. Poke her for what? It ws the pain she inflicted on me, the frontal pain, dragging my gold…that was the anger..I was so angry I could not even hold it. That was why I was like asking her ‘why did you do that ’ in the trending video that was posted. I asked her why did you do that because you dragging my frontal me, calling me a prostitute in the process..I just had to ask her ‘why did you do that?’ That was why I poked her”
Comfort, who works as a realtor, expressed deep trauma from the incident, especially because her half-naked images circulated online. She described the experience as humiliating and heartbreaking, leaving her scarred even beyond the physical altercation.
