Diddy Faces Longer Prison Time as Prosecutors Fight His $50M Bail Request

Federal prosecutors have revealed that Sean “Diddy” Combs could now face a much harsher prison sentence — potentially more than 10 years — following his conviction on two prostitution-related charges. Initially estimated to receive 4–5 years, prosecutors now argue that sentencing guidelines support a “substantially higher” term.

In a court filing on Thursday, they firmly opposed Diddy’s $50 million bail request, calling him a “flight risk” and a danger to society, citing his long history of violence. Although acquitted of the more severe racketeering and sex trafficking charges, the 55-year-old music mogul was found guilty of transporting individuals for prostitution, involving both male and female sex workers — some of which were reportedly filmed.

His legal team claims he’s being unfairly treated and merely lived a “swingers lifestyle,” pointing to his family responsibilities and poor jail conditions. But prosecutors say none of that outweighs the risk he poses.

Sentencing is set for October 3, and Judge Arun Subramanian — who previously denied bail — will soon decide if Diddy remains in custody until then.
