Legendary Nollywood icon, Pete Edochie, has offered deep insight into why Igbo men often find it difficult to thrive in Nigerian politics.
Speaking during an interview on Afia TV, the veteran actor explained that the average Igbo man is not built to tolerate repeated betrayal—something that is almost inevitable in the political arena.
“In politics, treachery is normal. But the Igbo man is not constituted to condone it a second time,” Edochie stated.
He added that once an Igbo person senses betrayal, they are quick to sever ties permanently—making it hard to maintain political alliances or maneuver through Nigeria’s complex political landscape.
