Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike, has boldly declared that he owes no one any explanation over the recent peace accord with Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara. Speaking during a heated media chat in Abuja, Wike emphasized that what truly matters is the return of peace and stability to Rivers State after months of political turbulence.

The former governor, who played a major role in shaping the state’s political landscape, pointed fingers at unnamed individuals who allegedly turned the crisis into a “personal oil well”, enriching themselves while chaos reigned. “They were never interested in peace,” he stated. “Now that we’ve settled our differences, they’re angry because their cash flow has stopped.” 💸🚫

Wike credited the success of the truce to genuine leadership, brushing off ongoing speculation about political concessions. He maintained that the people of Rivers State are the real winners, and that peace is far more valuable than satisfying the curiosity of critics.

Amid whispers of presidential influence, including the involvement of President Bola Tinubu, Wike’s message was clear: “Peace is back. That’s what counts.”
