Following President Donald Trump’s high-profile airstrikes on Iran’s key nuclear sites—Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan—the U.S. Department of State has launched an urgent evacuation effort for Americans in Israel.
U.S. Ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, confirmed that assisted departure flights are now underway as fears of an Iranian retaliation mount. With airspace closures making escape routes limited, Huckabee warned: “If you have the option, TAKE IT.”
Israeli airline El Al announced it will provide 50 seats starting Monday on outbound flights from Tel Aviv to major cities, including New York and Los Angeles, to aid evacuations.
The U.S. strikes, which Trump described as a “very successful attack,” have further escalated hostilities, with deadly aerial bombardments between Israel and Iran resulting in over 657 deaths in Iran and 24 in Israel, including many civilians.
The situation is volatile, and the State Department reports hundreds of Americans have already fled Iran, bracing for what could become a broader regional conflict.
