FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has boldly proclaimed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s developmental strides—especially in Abuja—have completely shattered any hope of a united opposition front ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Speaking during the commissioning of key infrastructure projects like the Maitama-Gishiri Bridge and new link roads in Katampe, Jahi, and Mabushi, Wike took a direct shot at opposition leaders, including Atiku Abubakar, who have been plotting a mega-coalition to challenge Tinubu.
“The coalition has failed. Your good works have killed their plans,” Wike said, praising the president’s delivery of visible results that he claims have silenced critics and strengthened national confidence.
Wike didn’t hold back, adding, “Some people were born to never be happy. But under Tinubu’s leadership, contractors are now returning with full trust in government. The opposition’s dream of 2027 is dead on arrival.”
This fiery statement comes as the PDP continues to battle internal rifts and coalition talks struggle to gain traction. Meanwhile, Wike is doubling down on his loyalty to the Tinubu administration and positioning its infrastructure success as the ultimate political game-changer.
