Nigeria’s Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi, has set social media buzzing after boldly declaring that his loyalty lies with God and President Bola Tinubu, and no one else. Speaking to journalists in Abakaliki, Umahi shared his deep gratitude following a recent commendation by President Tinubu for his strides in infrastructure development.
Describing the president’s praise as “worth more than one trillion dollars”, Umahi emphasized that such recognition is a sign from God that he’s on the right path. “When a man gives you this level of trust, you’d be the devil to betray him,” he said.
He issued a strong warning to those who might take the president’s trust lightly, saying, “Anyone who betrays Tinubu after this level of trust will incur the wrath of God.”
Citing his experience managing a N1.6 trillion procurement without interference, Umahi praised Tinubu’s confidence in him and vowed never to place his interests or family above God, Tinubu, and Nigeria.
