Super Eagles superstar and Napoli forward, Victor Osimhen, is edging closer to a sensational move to Saudi Arabian giants Al Hilal, after finally agreeing to personal terms with the club.
After initially walking away from talks when his €40 million-per-year salary demands weren’t met, new reports reveal that Osimhen has now accepted a lucrative €30 million-a-year contract for four years totaling a jaw-dropping €120 million! Sports journalist Sacha Tavolieri confirmed that Osimhen will earn the equivalent of $35 million annually, with additional performance-based add-ons sweetening the deal.
However, while the player and Al Hilal have shaken hands, the deal is not yet complete. Napoli and Al Hilal remain apart on the transfer fee, with the Saudi side offering €70 million, while Napoli are holding out for €75 million.
Top Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio confirms that negotiations are ongoing. If a final agreement is reached before June 10, Al Hilal will be able to register Osimhen for the FIFA Club World Cup.
This development is a heavy blow to Turkish champions Galatasaray, who had hoped to keep Osimhen after his sensational loan spell, where he bagged 37 goals in 43 matches.
