Veteran Nollywood actress Patience Ozokwo has finally addressed the explosive allegations that she unlawfully seized a widow’s land simply because the woman had no male child. The accusations, which have gone viral across social media, were made by Ngozi Okonkwo Ike and her daughter Ebere, from Amechi Idodo in Nkanu East LGA, Enugu State.
In the emotional videos making rounds online, Ebere claimed that after her father’s death, the only land he left behind was allegedly sold to Patience Ozokwo by a kinsman their mother trusted. She accused the actress of exploiting the family’s vulnerable situation and warned that Ozokwo should be held responsible if anything happens to her ailing mother, who is seen in the video on crutches with a visibly deteriorating leg.

But in a strong and composed rebuttal, Patience Ozokwo shared her own side of the story, saying she legally bought the land back in 2010. According to her, the very people who sold her the land are now attempting to reclaim it with false claims. She brought forward the middleman who brokered the deal, who confirmed that the widow personally requested help selling the land to pay for medical treatment and burial costs.

Patience called the allegations nothing short of “blackmail, fraud, and malicious intent,” firmly stating that she will be meeting them in court.
This unfolding drama has sparked major conversations online, with netizens divided over the true story. One thing’s for sure: the Queen of Nollywood is not backing down.
