Nigerian social media user Kosi Ugo sparked reactions with a post about Tems, who recently won a Grammy for her song ‘Love Me Jeje,’ which sampled the original track.
Despite her success in winning the Best African Music Performance award, Ugo criticized the 29-year-old singer, labeling her as overhyped.
He further compared her to Portable Zazu, claiming neither receives significant attention in the Nigerian music industry.

The first time I listened to her remake of Love Me Jeje, I shook my head in disgust. Like, how do you ruin a classic like that?”
