Drama in Ilorin as street-hop sensation Portable finally secures bail after being dragged to court over his clash with Fuji legend Saheed Osupa!
The controversial singer, known for his fiery rants and unapologetic attitude, was arraigned on Monday, April 14, before an Upper Area Court in Ilorin, Kwara State, over criminal defamation, cyberstalking, intimidation, and public disturbance — all tied to his recent social media outbursts aimed at Osupa.
According to reports, Osupa had filed a petition claiming that Portable damaged his reputation by going live on social media to accuse him of pulling his songs off platforms like Apple Music and Spotify, while also making threats.
At the hearing, the police prosecutor, Abubakar Issa, urged the court to remand Portable pending investigation, but his lawyer, Barrister Adebayo Isaac, fired back, arguing that the singer was already granted police bail and isn’t a flight risk — being a public figure with a fixed address.
After weighing both sides, Judge Hon. Sunday Adeniyi granted Portable ₦1 million bail with two sureties, including a PMAN chairman, and adjourned the case till April 30, 2025.
