Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham is facing criticism from fashion critic and shopper T20luxry after sharing a video online.
Abraham, who recently attended Iyabo Ojo’s daughter’s wedding in Tanzania, appeared in a video promoting a fashion store accused of selling counterfeit luxury items.
T20luxry claimed that the store does not sell authentic designer bags, using a Birkin bag featured in the video as an example. The critic further alleged that Abraham was endorsing and using imitation products.
The controversy deepened when a fashion blog resurfaced an old post in which Abraham condemned movie piracy and its harmful impact on the film industry. Critics accused her of hypocrisy, arguing that promoting counterfeit fashion contradicts her stance on piracy.
Toyin Abraham is not the first celebrity to face such accusations. Others, including Iyabo Ojo, food critic Opeyemi Famakin, and businessman E-Money, have also been called out in the past for allegedly using fake designer goods.
