Renowned footballer Odion Jude Ighalo revealed that he has consistently paid his tithe since 2005. Speaking in an interview with Rasheedat Ajibade on Ash Christ TV, he recalled receiving his first salary as a footballer that year.
Influenced by his pastor’s teachings on tithing, Ighalo has remained committed to the practice ever since. He emphasized the importance of giving back and credited his faith for guiding his financial decisions throughout his successful football career.
“My first salary was in 2005 as a footballer. It was N15,000 and because my pastor taught me about tithing, I have been paying until today. I haven’t missed paying tithe”, Jude said.
Odion Jude Ighalo recounted struggling with temptation after receiving his first paycheck, hearing voices discouraging him from tithing his N15,000 earnings.
“If you can be faithful with little, you will be faithful with any amount that comes your way,” he added.
