The Abeokuta Magistrate’s Court has postponed the case of popular singer Habeeb Okikiola, known as Portable, until March 26. The delay allows the prosecution to merge his charges with those of his employees.

During Wednesday’s hearing, Senior State Counsel Timileyin Oredein argued that trying Portable separately from his workers would waste the court’s time.

He noted that Portable and nine of his employees were previously charged on February 6 with similar offenses, including conspiracy, assault, and illegal obstruction while armed with cutlasses and a gun. They were also accused of breaching public peace and attacking three Ogun State government officials.

Portable, who pleaded not guilty during his previous court appearance, was granted bail set at N2 million. A condition of his bail prohibits him from discussing the case or related matters on social media.
