Drama is brewing in the world of hip-hop publishing as G-Unit Books, the literary branch owned by rap mogul 50 Cent, has filed a heavy-hitting lawsuit against his ex and baby mama, Shaniqua Tompkins, over a supposed breach of contract.
According to court documents, Shaniqua — who shares a 28-year-old son, Marquise Jackson, with the rapper — allegedly signed over the exclusive rights to her life story back in 2007. As per the agreement, she was not to share or profit from her personal experiences, especially those involving the “In Da Club” rapper himself.
Fast-forward to 2023, Tompkins dropped a YouTube video titled “Other Side of the Coin,” claiming she helped shape the G-Unit legacy and that 50 Cent wouldn’t be who he is without her. Not stopping there, she allegedly took to Instagram recently to reflect on her past with 50, amidst speculation surrounding the Diddy trial — another major red flag for G-Unit Books.
The company is now suing for at least $1 million in damages and wants the court to ban her from sharing further personal stories about the rapper. As of now, Tompkins hasn’t made any public statements in response.
This legal battle is already heating up and fans are watching closely!
